Is there a guide on how to use flexidesktop?

What is the provisioning time for a new flexidesktop?
Provisioning a new flexidesktop typically takes less than 5 minutes. However, depending on the availability of virtual desktops and the requested region, the time may vary.
Where are the virtual desktops hosted?
During checkout, you can choose the data center region where your virtual desktop will be hosted. We currently offer three locations: USA/Canada, Europe, and Asia-Pacific, allowing you to select the region closest to your team for the best performance.
Can I install my own software?
Absolutely! You’ll have full Administrator access to your cloud desktop, allowing you to install any application or software you need, just like a physical PC.
Are cloud desktops secure?
Cloud desktops are highly secure since your data remains in the cloud and is never stored locally. This keeps your business data separate and safe from personal data, reducing risks significantly.

Can I integrate my Active Directory Domain?
Yes, you can! You can connect your virtual desktop to your on-premises Active Directory or Azure Active Directory. If you need custom network connectivity — such as a site-to-site VPN to your office — we can set it up for you. We support OpenVPN, WireGuard, and IPsec.
Just open a support ticket from your dashboard and we’ll assist you with the integration.
Can I connect to my flexidesktop using Remote Desktop (RDP)?
Yes. You can access your flexidesktop using the standard Microsoft Remote Desktop client.
To enable RDP access, simply request it from your dashboard — you’ll find the option inside your virtual desktop panel. Once requested, we’ll send you the VPN configuration and step-by-step instructions to connect securely.
Can I have separate login credentials for admin and employees?
Yes. With flexidesktop Team, you can create multiple concurrent user accounts directly from your dashboard. You can assign full admin permissions or create regular users with limited access, depending on your needs. This allows different team members to log in with their own credentials and work at the same time on the same virtual desktop environment.
Can employees transfer data out of the virtual desktop?
Data transfers can be controlled by disabling copy/paste functions and blocking access to file-sharing platforms like Google Drive or OneDrive. Additional restrictions can be applied to specific websites at the firewall level.
Can I prevent employees from installing applications?
Yes, by assigning employees restricted user accounts, they will not be able to install software. However, they may still download and run files that don’t require installation.

Do I need to manage Terminal Services licensing and CALs?
No, we handle all Terminal Services (TS) licensing and Client Access Licenses (CALs) for you, so you can focus on your work without worrying about additional licensing management.

Are connections secure and encrypted?
Yes. All connections to flexidesktop are fully encrypted. By default, no incoming ports are open on any virtual desktop — all access is routed through secure tunnels.
If you use Web Connect, your session runs over HTTPS with a valid SSL certificate.
If you request VPN + RDP access, the connection is established through an encrypted VPN tunnel (WireGuard), keeping your desktop isolated from the public internet.
Do you comply with HIPAA regulations?
